Suzanne Clark’s artreceived a very large number of views on The Painted Note Gallery site in 2011 — and deservingly so. I decided to check in on what she has been painting since her last feature and these two examples show an exciting new development in her work.
In addition to her geometric shape handling and wonderful color sense, Suzanne has begun to include a new level of textural interest into her paintings. This addition enhances the back and forth play between the painting as a depiction and the surface as a collection of textures and paint application. Wonderful work from a masterful artist!
